Remote Start Kits For 1999-2002 GMC Sierra 1500 - Key-to-Start - Gas

I got this kit for Christmas. Put it on 2 days later. When first opening the box I knew this was going to be a big project (a ton of wires). Got the instruction sheet downloaded from the provided link. After reading through the instructions we pulled the truck in the garage. Pulled all the necessary trim off to get to all the wires. The set of instructions was very disappointing. For as much wiring as needed there was very few instructions of where the connections needed to be made. And since this kit isn't on youtube or any forums it was very difficult to find information for the locations of the connections. There needs to be pictures of all the locations instead of a 5 word description of the technical term and the color which has 10 of the same color within inches of the correct one. It took a lot of googling and unsure connections to get this wired in. Another thing that I found very disappointing was the hardware they provided. They only provided a tiny plastic bag with a handful of spade terminals, T-taps, and unneeded butt connectors. There was not even close to enough of each of these to make all of the necessary connections let alone have spares for bad and incorrect crimps. With 3 people this job took about 4 hours to complete mostly because of lack of instructions. When we got it all done and ready to test it went as it should except when the engine cranked it didn't crank long enough to start. I am surprised it even did this with how much unsure connections we had to make. This non-start problem took hours of googling and trial and all error to figure out. We ended up finding the instructions to the crimestopper remote start system that had the instructions on how to program the tac into the system. After that step the truck finally started up like it should. With all that being said the truck did start and it seems like it will work like it should. That's why this isn't getting one star. I still do not know how to use the "Programmable 2, 3, or 4 hourly auto-start mode options. Programmable 5, 10, 20, or 30 minute run time options," The instructions to program this in are not in the downloaded instruction sheet. So I'm not sure if this feature works. The instructions made this install way more difficult than they needed to be and because of that I would have looked for a different kit if I would have known. Also this is my second attempt at posting a review. I have emailed the company twice about why my first one was not uploaded and heard nothing back. So hopefully this review actually gets posted so people know what they are actually buying.
